A little bit about the music.

After I had most of the music for this Album written down I started trying out different instrumentations. I knew I wanted a rhythm section of drums and double bass but I wasn't sure about the horn section. The first quintet I formed had a soprano sax and trombone in the front line. Later the soprano was substituted by a trumpet but ultimately I found that the best setting to suit my compositions is a horn section comprised of two saxophone players, one on tenor and the other switching between alto and soprano. Forming my new quintet inspired me to write the rest of the music and set the date for the recording session.
